The 3.5mm headphone jack is now the exception instead of the standard in the flagship smartphone world. Many consumers have turned to Bluetooth options, but there are still some folks who prefer wired audio. If you're in the latter camp and you hate dealing with dongles, you'll probably want a set of USB Type-C headphones.
Several USB-C earphones have appeared on the market in the past year or so. I very much enjoy using the noise-cancelling Libratone Q Adapt that we reviewed last year, though the $149 price tag might put it out of reach for many.

Today is apparently World Backup Day, which means there are sales on hard drives, NAS units, microSD cards, and other mediums of storage — sadly, I haven't seen any discounts on Zip Disks. If you happen to have a phone with a microSD card slot, today is a good opportunity to get extra storage.
For smartphones and tablets, SanDisk's 256GB U3 A2 microSD card is just $52.99 for today, a $16 drop from the usual price.

Huawei's cameras have become exceptional over the past few years, and earlier this month, the company unveiled more phones with excellent camera performance. While the P30 and P30 Pro have already turned heads with its 5x optical zoom, its low-light performance appears to beat the Pixel's Night Sight in certain cases.

In just a couple of days, Google is set to finally, sadly kill Inbox. The much-loved email client for Gmail may not have supplanted the original's popularity, but its unique feature set paired with a minimal and pleasing interface earned it plenty of fans, with many of them claiming they would hang on until the cold and bitter end. Are you one of them?
Every time we've talked about Inbox, our readers have come out of the woodwork to profess their love for its time-saving features, and disappointment at its death.

Google's Camera application for the Pixels received an update a couple of days ago from version 6.1 to 6.2. A quick look at the app left us wondering whether anything was new at all, but upon closer inspection we noticed a few changes, some minor and one most of you will love: a dark mode.
The Camera app's interface has always been focused on black, but when you switched to settings, you were always hit by a jarring white screen.

The LG G8 won't officially be available in the United States until April 11th, but steep discounts are already popping up. All major carriers have various promotions available, but if you want an unlocked model, you can buy one right now for $150 off — dropping the total price to $699.99.
For the unfamiliar, the LG G8 has a Snapdragon 855 processor, 128GB of internal storage (with microSD support), 6GB of RAM, and a 6.1-inch 3120x1440 OLED screen with Gorilla Glass 5.

While the P30 and P30 Pro have already turned heads with its 5x optical zoom, its low-light performance appears to beat the Pixel's Night Sight in certain cases.
Both phones were only announced a few days ago, so in-depth reviews aren't available yet. However, sample shots have been making their way to social media and YouTube, and some are seriously impressive.

After months of mediocre low-end Chromebooks, Asus finally announced a successor to its wildly-popular Chromebook Flip C302 earlier this year. The C434 is an upgrade in almost every respect, and now you can finally buy it — directly from Asus, anyway.

The Google URL Shortener (goo.gl) was launched in December 2009, originally intended to be used with Google Toolbar and Feedburner. However, the need for link shorteners has largely gone away over the past few years, and goo.gl started to wind down last year. It was already unavailable to new users as of May 2018, but now it's gone for everyone.

Existing goo.gl links will still work, but it's now impossible to create new ones.

Phone deals sure are common these days, but this one is one of the better ones, I think. Best Buy is currently offering a brand new 64GB Pixel 2 XL for $399.99, a price that we'd usually only see on refurbs.

If you like smart home gadgets and live somewhere with a ducted thermostat installation, you're lucky. Nest, Ecobee, Honeywell, and more great companies are vying for a spot on your wall and in your phone's app drawer. But if your house is equipped with a ductless system, like a split air conditioner, window AC, portable or floor standing unit, cassette type, or heat pump, the options are more limited and lesser known.
